Can someone please tell me if the floors in this resort are slippery?
I have been to some resorts that have very slippery floors and wearing heels was hazardous to your health.

    Thank you!

I never been to TTR before but many 5" heels are required! At any time you can chose the arm of man (or women) for support. You have that or you could decide to use a lifted walker for your safety! Just kidding ;-) be safe!

Yes... Yes... and yes... Things are very slippery at TTR... The rooms, the hallways, pretty much everywhere. Just don't take huge strides, walk slowly, and when drunk, find somebody less drunk than you to walk with.

I regularly run around TTR in 5-inch heels and have never wiped out EXCEPT in my room, but having said that, I have never been at TTR when it was seriously raining, which is the dangerous time. I personally do not find the floors around the resort slippery when they are dry, but WET is another matter.

The floors in the rooms are marble, so be very careful not to track water around from the shower, and use the bathmat to wipe the bathroom floor dry of moisture after your shower. I fell from my 5-inch heels onto my ass on a wet bathroom floor last trip. Also, I use spray-on sunblock, which is like spraying PAM on the floor...super dangerous. I've learned to stand on the fuzzy rug in the room to spray on my sunblock in the morning, or on the bed before the maid comes to change the sheets.

Not a bad idea to take a little sandpaper to the bottom of your evening shoes to rough them up if they have smooth hard-plastic soles. Or even invest in some of the stick-on grippy-papers for the balls of the soles if you are danger-prone when you are drinking.

The marble floors were so slippery, that we got 2-3 extra towels and laid them all around the room. Really needed that after someone had used the shower.

If you can walk fine in heels on an average night out, e.g. walk more than a few blocks without feeling like you're going to fall over then you'll be fine.

It's us poor gals that struggle in your average environment to stand up in heels that have to put a heels ban in place for TTR.

Floors are incredibly slippy when wet!

Yep, we keep towels on the floor at all times. There are plenty of times we're in the room when "be careful" doesn't compute. :drunk:

Also, outside at the resort you often have the choice of a small, harmless-looking ramp, or 3-4 stairs. TAKE THE STAIRS!!!
