I don't mind techno...for four hours at a club. For five days....:aktion060: I'm thinking of buying this: [ame="http://www.Amazon.com/Grace-Digital-GDI-AQSCE104-Waterproof-Floating/dp/B0040NPHRE/ref=pd_sim_e_2"]Amazon.com: Grace Digital GDI-AQSCE104 Eco Extreme Waterproof Floating Case with Built-In Speaker for iPod, iPhone, Droid, and MP3 Players (Yellow): Electronics http://www.Amazon.com/gp/product/B0040NPHRE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=cancuncare-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0040NPHRE Anyone out there ever tried one? Would it have enough volume to even be heard in the sexy pool?
I use these at home in the pool. http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?product=4019099&language=en-CA I like the fact that the music source can stay in the house and the speakers are portable and float.
At TTR the techno is pretty loud at the pool so im not sure how good you will hear that in the pool...imo
If you are by the bar and they have the music playing, you have to yell at the top of your lungs to talk to anyone. You wouldn't be able to hear anything else. You could try something like that in the jetted pool area, but it is still kind of loud over there.
There's not much more more distracting or annoying than hearing music from 2 different sources at the same time. No matter how loud your speakers are, that's all you'll end up accomplishing at the sexy pool. You could take them down to the beach but once you get away from the sexy pool music, the other people on the beach are probably there for a little quiet time and won't appreciate your music either. Best to grin and bear it at the sexy pool or use headphones somewhere else, and save the speakers for the room or late night. Like others have said, once you get to talking and drinking the music just fades into the background anyway.
Yeah, you guys are right--this would be more annoying than it's worth. Wish the DJ were open to requests, though!
I would suggest dealing with the sexy pool music until later on, then hosting your own beach party with speakers and Ipod later on (say 4pm - 6pm). The beach gets relatively quiet after 4pm so not only would you have a nice break from the sexy pool music, but you wouldn't be bothering anyone either. The bars are still open and you're close enough to grab a drink too. Thinking about it, I like this idea so much I might try it next time I'm there! The music around the pool is loud, even by the quiet pool! You'd struggle to hear your own music there, and I imagine security would tell you to turn it off if it was bothering people or interfering with their own system. Beach is a way better idea, but maybe not early in the day. People do go to the beach to recover from hangovers and grab some shut eye, but when we were there in January, by 3pm it was fairly empty as people went to get ready for dinner and evening entertainment.
