One of my favorite movie series' delivers MY 2nd most anticipated movie of 2009 (behind Transformers 2!!!). As always, there were some pros and some cons wit this film, but overall I was quite pleased. Pros: GAMBIT!!!- It only took 4 movies, but I FINALLY got to see my favorite X-Men character of all time on the big screen. Taylor Kitsch played an amazing Gambit, although the Cajun accent noticeably broke a few times...it happens. Everything else about it was pretty much spotless. Storyline- A great way to introduce a bunch of the main characters of the series, especially, obviously, the main guy, Wolverine. Other Characters- We didn't get the normal characters that we did in the first 3 films, but these ones were equally cool to see. Liev Shreiber was awesome as Victor Creed aka Sabretooth, Ryan Reynolds was great too (although I cant really go into his character too much without spoiling it lol). Hell, even the guy from the Black Eyed Peas (Will I Am) was good as Wraith. The Blob is another one we havent seen yet, but he brought a good chuck of humor to the flick, and of course Hugh Jackman once again was incredible as Wolverine. Previews: Transformers 2 and the new Disney/Pixar movie "UP", looks great! CONS: The only problem I had with this was some of the special effects/background images were done very poorly. It reminded me of that scene on a tv show where the characters are "driving in a car" with the screen in the back just moving. It was really bizarre, but, you cant really have a perfect movie I guess. Fletch's Movie Rating: 8 out of 10 PS: Next up, X-Men Origins: Magneto, 2011 :shock:

I Agree totally Fletc, awesome movie, and Liev Schreiber I think stole the show, he was brilliant! I Also liked Gambit!! Cool character! I thougt the ending was a little dull but as a prequel I guess there is only so much you can do
the special effects were kinda poo in this movie, but the story was good. i quite enjoyed this as well. and i agree. liev schriber was fab in this. as well as rr and talyor kitsch. i really cant complain about the casting as i thought it was really well done. i am looking forward to the next one, magneto would be cool...and from what i heard, there will be a deadpool movie too. ryan reynolds just too good to pass up
Yup, there's also a Deadpool and Magneto (separate) 'Origins' coming out eventually....and another movie I think that is set to go along with the main plot woooo
