Sorry to keep you waiting kids, I have been waiting for the first available showing in IMAX to see the movie that is breaking all sorts of box office records. With that in mind, here is MY take on it. People are saying this is the greatest movie of all time, this that and the other thing, I say to you....you are wrong! Although I enjoyed the movie, I was not blown away by it and think people may be over rating it just a bit. CONS For starters, there were a few parts that dragged on way too long, and could have saved the movie a good half hour if they were cut back. I understand getting the full effect of a movie, but some of it was just too much. I do not like Christian Bale as Batman. I like him as Bruce Wayne, but once he puts on the costume he turns into a guy who sounds like he has been smoking for 50 years. I understand you are trying to get away from the kiddie version of Batman, but take the frog out of your throat and actually speak!!! PROS Heath Ledger.....All the hype you hear about him in this movie is real. Best performance I've seen in a while, a perfect Joker. Special Effects. Especially in IMAX, some of the scenes from the rooftops and overheads were amazing. The action scenes were intense and there was ridiculous amounts of explosions going on. The plot was also very well done. A few different things going on at once, but they all tied in, so it was very easy to keep track of. Harvey Dent.....awesome! thankyou .. completely agree with all of that, except i like Christian Bale as Batman he brings a sinister aspect to the role - 8 out of 10 good shout (still well worth seeing if you havent already!) everyone i've spoken to has absolutely raved about this and shot me down when i said i didnt think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, it didnt come anywhere close to breaking box office records here!
