I rented Dead Silence the other night, so here is the installment of the movie review. Heres a quick briefing of what the movie is about.....a man and his wife receive a suspicious unmarked package at their front door, containing a ventriloquist's dummy. Strange things start to happen, and the guy sets out to find out what is going on. On old children's poem comes true and not only does he fight to find answers, he fights to stay alive. Now, with that said, i must say i had no intentions on ever seeing this in the theaters, hence why i rented it. After watching it, i have to admit, it was not as bad as i originally thought it would be. If you are scared of ventriloquist's and their dummies, do not see this movie. Some parts were scary, some were funny (mainly due to classic one-liners by Mark Wahlberg) some disturbing images, and a VERY VERY surprising ending. I recommend it to you if you like scary movies, and love guessing what will happen next. Fletch's Movie Rating 7 our of 10
I'd have to agree. This was surprisingly decent. Another ventriliquist movie that has to be one of the creepiest movies of all time is "Magic" with Anthony Hopkins. I belive it was done in the early 80's. This movie reminded me of "Magic" in a way. Both good movies.
Dead silence? gotta it.. Ricey loves scary movies, defintely better than drama.. but i defintely have to watch it with someone, i cannot finish a horror movie by myself..
