Headed to the Flamingo with some buddies June 9th. Just wondering if anyone has stayed there, how did you like? What are the food/drinks like. Finally is beer served in bottles, cans or cups at the AIs in Cancun.

We stayed here at the end of Feb. We didnt do the AI, I just dont care for AI with all Cancun has to offer food and drink wise. The rooms are nice and clean and the view was spectacular although we were charged extra for a Ocean view room. If you dont pony up the extra be prepared for a lagoon view and the noise of Kukulkan Blvd. The beer was in plastic cups and nobody that I saw had a insulated mug. So bring a cup cooler. They had to pools one inside where the bar was and one with an ocean view but no waiters, you have to go to the other pool to get your drinks. Well I guess they didnt have any waiters at all. Other than in the restaurants.
    Heres a few pics.

I stayed at the Flamingo in April 2 years ago....The hotel was small but nice and clean. The bartender's weren't to high on people getting buzzed and having a good time. They would limit you to 2 drinks which im fine with but then they wouldn't allow you to get more than one. You had to bribe them with a larger tip on top of what you've already given them for a shot. We weren't out of hand, at all so I guess it's their policy. But it is a nice place esp for the price.

They have ice chests on all the floors get a cooler and some tequila and cervesa's to put in your room. I squeezed my own limes (get a hand juicer at the grocery store) and a bottle of controy (orange liquor) and make your own. I had one of their margaritas when we checked in 15.00 USD for 2 :icon_evil:.

I made the best margaritas at the resort!! Cant cut you off with your own. Resorts nice and clean. I would stay there again for sure. But not AI, I can eat buffets in MN for cheap.
