Just wanted to let everyone know that Flame has a new concept that started a couple days ago. They no longer do a menu, it is now a buffet with a selection of rotisserie meats. You can also order lobster, tomahawk, and cowboy steak for an extra charge from a side display. We tried it last night and it was very good.
That actually sounds better to me from a meat perspective. (if you are going there for steak entrees) But what about other menu items like soup, salad, appetizers, grilled octopus? Are those items made to order no longer options as well. Cause I could order my meal, and then when ready just go up for meat and a side, I think that would be perfect. They really should look into running it like a smaller version of Brazilian steakhouse. Places I go regularly have a drink, appetizer, special entree menu to order from. Then in the meantime you go up to a cold veggie/salad bar and hot soups. Then when you are ready for your main dinner, you flip a little green card over (and that means "bring me the meat"), where your waiter then brings over hot potatoes, friend bananas, rolls, friend polenta. Then chefs walk to the tables with various cuts of meats on spits and cut pieces directly onto your plate to your preferred done-ness.
My mouth is watering... did you guys order any of the for sale items or stick with the rotisserie? Do you remember by chance how much a cowboy steak or lobster goes for?
Lobster was $80, cowboy steak was $30, tommahawk was $60. They had a few more options as well for seafood. I will take a photo tonight.
I thought the only edible part of Caribbean lobster was the tail... At $80 it better come with a side of cavier or a happy ending!
That sounds like Fogo De Chao. We've got one here in Houston. It's damn "Big Food!" We've only been once.
