We thought that we had read somewhere that there were daily classes presented by the resort. Is this true and is there a schedule? Also, the gym has free weights and machines correct? Thanks, Tom & Arielle
The gym has a few small machines (hotel size - too small for tall people) and weights. And there are some classes. The water aerobics are easy, but if you do it you will get stuck as part of a game at the end (not that that's bad, just warning you). Then there are the bellydancing and pole dancing classes which are really fun. Even though they do them off to the side away from the sexy pool, they draw a crowd with lots of cameras. I think there might also be yoga and stretching classes, but I never did those. Each morning they will post the daily activities on the Activity Board by the sexy pool. The exercise classes are usually around 10ish.
There is yoga, power walk with Chinos and Aquasize a couple days a week each. There is also the gym for you to do it whatever you want weights and aerobic. A couple threadmills/bikes/elllipticals and smith maching/chest press/ weights/balls and bands. It's not bad. Power walk is about a 1/2 hr down the beach and back. Oho and there is a sensual pole class on day during the week. Monique
There is always the 10 oz. glass lift happening all day and night. It's about the most exercise that many of us get on a weeks vacation.
Parrot: We're gonna have to work on your weight lifting. I like the BIG GULP (64oz weight lifting). I like your style. See you the 14th -Tom
I took water aerobics, the belly dance class, and danced every night. As well as walking all the stairs (stumbling?) back to my room. And of course the trips to the bar. I am in good shape - the water aerobics was just fun and silly. Not much of a work out. The belly dance kicked my ass literally. And I have a dance degree. I also kayaked. Great work out. I ended up losing a couple pounds on vacation. I danced so much the last couple nights that it took me five days after coming home to be able to go down the stairs without gripping the railing. My quads were screaming!!! It's a place where you can do as little or as much physicality as you want. have fun!!! Shannon
