The wife and I are thinking about taking our first trip to Temptation the first week of December and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to book the trip? And any advice on what to bring and what activities to plan for a first timer. Thanks for all of the help Jason
I would recommend taking some time and read a bit of this site. The December roll call will be out in about 1.5 months. Put your dates in there and get to know some people that will be there the same time as you. I also suggest putting some pics up so that people will recognize you. There are a bunch of threads on here with lots of great tips. As for booking it really depends where you are coming from. Hubby and I tend to book with expedia. You will get different answers around here.
Welcome! What she said. ^^ pretty much everything you want to know has been asked already the search feature is your friend! We went partially the first week of December last year - it's a great time. A bunch of us that met there last year are meeting up again dec 9-15 ish this year. It can't come soon enough!!
We booked through cheaptickets.com and got what we consider to be a good deal for August (~$1400 for 2 people, 6 nights, including airfare), but it really depends on your travel dates and where you're coming from. We're flying out of Atlanta.
Welcome to the forum Jason and please say Hello to your wife. In regards to your questions - the answers all ready provided are bang on ... explore the thread here on CCC for all the information you need. 1. You will have to search out different booking companies as you will receive different rates depending on your location. But, we have booked with Alpharooms for hotel in the past and flights were purchased separate; this past year we went with Cheaptickets.com, so it will vary depending on your best deal found at the time. Just research different companies on best pricing departing from your area ... Cheaptickets.com Bookit.com Alpharooms.com Expedia.com (here are a few to try) 2. What to bring: again if you search the forum like suggested there is a packing list thread created and continues to grow - it's a great tool for first visitors to TTR. 3. Trips to plan for: well, we only reserve one day off resort which is the only thing that is a must do on our "Honey's to Do-List" while at TTR which is Steve's Boobs Cruise ... it is Legendary and you will be sure to have a fabulous time guys. Just a suggestion, but I'm sure many others on CCC forum will let you know this is an event you try not to miss - lol!!!:icon_lol: Again just search the form and you will be sure to find all the information needed to make your decisions. Have a blast in December - take care!!! :aktion030:
Things we learned while there Blondie here; Few things that I learned while we were there that I'd like to pass on to you.....AIWC (alcohol infused whipped cream) is a must but stick with vanilla or caramel, chocolate and cherry are to messy. Another is gummy bears, vodka and a gallon Zip-Loc bag. Make vodka infused gummy bears to share with friends at the sexy pool. Have an open mind. Tip your bartenders, housekeepers and waiters and they will take very good care of you. Don't think that it is a bunch of debauchery because it's not, unless you're into that kind of thing then you make it what you want. Take a couple of down time days after you return, before resuming normal life, due to the "take me back to TTR Blues". Do the island excursion and rent the golf cart but take pesos, they will rape you on the exchange rate. Go to the second hut down the beach, to the left, and get a massage on the beach. It's only $40 for a full hour. Last and, foremost, go on a Boobs Cruise (2 if you can swing it) and while you're there kiss Chinos and Omar for me...lol
Best advice ... keep reading the site (this one). Watch for the Chos Crew's stuff, they are big in December as I understand things.
I booked through cheaptickets.com and found them cheaper than expedia. Mine was $1700 for 2 ppl for 7 nights including airfare in september
