Hello everyone we’ve booked our trip on 08-11 / 8-15 it will be our first time and boy do we have questions…. First things first I’ve spent hours combing thru a lot of posts and reviews and grateful for everyone’s posts however a lot of them seem to be dated. So here are my questions.
    1) we booked thru third party (Priceline) which is probably my first mistake but hey you live and you learn. From what I’ve read I screwed myself since I didn’t use Expedia. Does this mean my “all inclusive” isn’t really all inclusive? We have to pay for everything like food and room service? And I’m limited to certain pools?
    2) we’re a lifestyle couple however some of our friends decided to join us unfortunately vanilla and we don’t want to be outed. We’re told the resort is essentially just a big spring break for adults and we could potentially just hang out at the quiet pool?
    3) every single time we’ve been to Mexico we’ve had to deal with timeshare folks. I expect Temptation is no different, if there are tiers to people at the resort since I didn’t book “vip” could I attend said time share presentation and get the vip status? Or other gift or offers? Has anyone had any success?
Again we’re totally new so any insight would be great thanks everyone!

    1) The resort is all inclusive for all guests. Certain menu items and higher end liquor are reserved for members, but you can eat and drink at all the spots for free.

    2) Temptation is lifestyle-friendly, but most guests at any given time won't be lifestyle. With that said, I can't imagine being at such a fun, sexually charged spot as a lifestyle couple and keeping it bottled up. Are your travel mates comfortable being around lifestyle folks? If not, might not be a good fit for them.

    3) You can possibly find a member who will give you a referral, which would let you get some of the member perks in exchange for attending a 90 minute presentation. But it really isn't necessary to have a good time

    Hello!

I've booked with third-parties in the past, including those that were not Expedia, and the resort has always been all-inclusive. You will get to eat, drink, snack and enjoy the entertainment.

The resort is lifestyle-friendly, but it isn't a lifestyle resort. My husband and I are not swingers but we have SO much fun at Temptation. We started out vanilla, so your friends might also come out of their shells on this trip. It's the right place for it!

The salespeople generally lurk in the lobby. They often try to encourage you to meet them for breakfast, or to "show you around" But it's entirely optional and I recommend refusing politely. On some trips they were persistent, but on our last trip this past December, not a single one approached us. We are not Premier members and we have had a great time with each visit. Premier members do get nice perks, but we can enjoy our stay without buying in. (If you do decide you want to buy in, or have a feel for the membership, I'd suggest finding someone who can add you as a beneficiary. PS - we went on a referral in 2021 and had a horrible experience. The resort was fine, but the sales presentation was a nightmare and we will never ever do that again)

On that note, you, your partner and your vanilla friends should all have a very good time at Temptation. Feel free to ask any additional questions!

You're welcome and I get the "big party" explanation which it is, but being lifestyle-friendly, people are pretty open about being LS. So plenty of provocative outfits, games, conversations, etc. We have friends who aren't LS who love the resort, but they are also very "live and let live".

As non-premier members you still get access to a full bar, just not top-shelf liquors. You also get the full menu at all restaurants. Premier members just get an additional 3 options added but I personally have always ordered off the regular menu. Room service costs about $10 as a service fee and fyi they don't allow you to bring food from any of the restaurants to your room as take-out.

If you are located in the tower, I think your room service is free. They will have the room service on the TV menu. As you go thru the menu they will list prices or have zero on the item price line.
We were in Bash tower and after figuring out the TV menu we order several times and all for free. The cost, if it applies, will be charged to your room, and you pay as you leave.

On Check in , you will be asked for your card (debit or credit , the same one you used to pay for your trip, make sure you take it along.)
TTR will charge your card for a small hotel tax and a 400 dollar security deposit. When you check out the security deposit will be return automatic if they did not find and reason to make a charge on it. Don't break anything or throw your chairs off the balcony...lol....
    Have fun and stay safe.
