Someone has probably already addressed these in other threads but here goes. Where is a good place to change currency? Sounds like there is plenty to keep us busy at the resort....any place off site that we should see/do? Should we purchased bottled water or is it safe to drink at resort? Thanks in advance, we are excited and looking forward to our first trip....April 9th-14th Bob and Dawn
Where is a good place to change currency?at home but you can use US dollars for tipping, and your credit cards to book excursions Sounds like there is plenty to keep us busy at the resort....any place off site that we should see/do? Coco Bongo's, Steve Boobs Cruise Should we purchased bottled water or is it safe to drink at resort? You get water in your fridge, save some small bottles or bring a thermos ,water is safe on resort Thanks in advance, we are excited and looking forward to our first trip....April 9th-14th
Yeah, what Donald said. Go to your bank and get a wad of $1's for tipping. You absolutely must go on Steve's Boobs Cruise too.
We usually bring plenty of 1's, 5's and 10's. Most places you will go to will take american dollors as long as they are in good shape - even use them for taxi's. The only thing to remember is calculating the exchange rate at times. If you use a credit card you will get the current bank rate otherwise you may get a lower rate such as 10 pesos to the dollar. FYI - where do you live at in SC?
Definately go over to Isla Mujeres for the day....So nice, fun and the North beach is beautiful...also many great little restaurants peppered all over the island with great food.. a cant miss!!!
You can do money exchanges at any major airport too. I like to change mine in Denver. American money is good too.
Glad to see we are not the only ones from SC on here - You should have a blast. There are plenty of things that you can do off site but it depends on what your interested in. Check out the excursions and some of the other threads on here and you should get a good idea. Welcome to the board.
Thanks, everyone we have encountered on this board has already made us feel welcome...we look forward to our trip.
