Hi my husband and I will be spending our second anniversary vacation at Temptations. We have zero experience with an all inclusive resort but we are very excited about the adults only aspect. Our dates are Feburary 26-March 1st. I read the suggestion about getting a private driver to the hotel but struggled with trying to find the direct information to accomplish that task. What is the suggested amount of money to bring? If anyone doesn't mind sharing their minimum amount to maximum amount they've brought with them, I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to read everything I can on the forum. Thank you in advance for any help offered.
Lots of people book USA Transfers. There is a link on the bottom right of this page. It is like $55 bucks round trip for two. I have only done it once, and it was great. To and from the resort fast without worrying about other hotels. As far as how much money to bring, that is a really opened ended question. It depends on how much you like to tip, and/or if you are doing anything offsite. We don't shop, and aside from the Boobs Cruise, we don't really do any excursions. I end up tipping around 30-50 bucks a day for my wife and I (maid, breakfast, lunch, pool bartenders, dinner, night bartenders), and that works out well. You will get great service no matter how much you tip, or don't tip. But it would seem crazy for me not to.
I bring about $1,000 in cash and a credit card just in case. Like Scuba Steve said for tips, Boobs Cruise and any excursions (just in case). And of course duty free alcohol!!!!
After checking in they will try and set you up with a time share /premier presentation,,,, I would say avoid it on your first trip,,, get to know the resort first, then if you like it do it on your next trip. Check the theme nights, and bring some costume ,, a lot of fun to participate , and lots do . Browse peopel photo albums on here , will give a feel for costumes Have fun
Normally we bring $1000.00 for tipping and misc. shopping and cruises. That being said, I don't think we have left the resort other than for a Boobs Cruise. There is so much fun to be had at the resort than we don't leave. We aren't the type that enjoys going to clubs and made to feel like a sardine, just like at Coco Bongos. You'll enjoy yourself.
We would leave 5 bucks a day for our maid, 3 to 5 bucks for breakfast and lunch and 5-10 for dinner. I would find my favorite bartender around 10 am and throw them a 10 or 20 and we were taken care of very well.
