Had a great trip. The staff is wonderful, can not say enough good about them all. We had a table light that was flickering so while we were at the lobby we mentioned it to the front desk. We went strait to our room from there and the maintenance man was waiting at our door. The room did have a smell to it but we are familiar with the tropics and that is what you get with high humidity and air-con running. Maybe changing filter more often may help. We brought a air freshener that plugged into wall socket and it didn't bother us at all. The food was all very good, some of it was exceptional and very plentiful. Every where you look there was somthing to eat or drink. The drinks seemed a bit sweet for our taste, easily remedied by adding a little more Tequila. My wife chose to drink Strawberry Marg. as they are suppose to be a little sweeter anyway. I mostly stuck to my old friend Jim Beam and never had a weak drink. Our only negative remark is not to do with the resort or staff, but other guests. I am quite sure that in "House Rules" it states to please refrain from picture taking in public areas. Yes, we brought our camera too. We took pics of the resort, beach, sunset each other and staff that wanted to be in pic. We always tried to make the effort to not include others. If you have became friends while at the resort well of course take some pics. but if you don't know me an I sure don't know you, NO PICTURE! That is just common courtesy. HEY, that might not be my wife that I was with down there an its none of your damned business!! All in all a great trip and we will be back.

Sounds like you had a great time! Completely agree with you about the cameras. There is normally 1 or 2 people you need to watch out for. A guy asked to take a picture of my wife topless at the beach last visit. She said no and was a little taken back. I explained to her at least he asked and just didn't take a million pictures while you weren't looking. It made her feel a little better about the odd situation.
Being big-time pic-people, Stacia & I are always taking pics of people having a good time at TTR, and if you get offended by it, we apologize in advance. Anecdote: There is a nude beach located in Austin, I think it's name is Hippie Hollow, and there is a legal decision that goes to the comments about pic-taking, and Steve's comment about "haven't you ever seen a pair of tits before." Seems there was this older Asian dude hiding in the woods, no kidding, with his camera with a telephoto lens taking pics of the girls from U.T. out sunbathing naked. he got arrested, and part of his defense was the girls' boyfriends were also on the beach taking pics. Judge came down and looked at the pics in question, in chambers (lady judge by the way) and tossed the old dude in jail for 30 days, fined him, etc. The guys who were with the girls on the beach weren't even cited, though both had pics of the naked chicks on their respective cameras. The old dudes may have had some zooming in on tits, pussy shots, asses in the air, whatever, though the college guys had some, too. Moral of the story is, don't act sleazy in your pic taking and you usually don't freak people out. When taking closer shots of folks, make sure they are aware they're in a pic, which usually happens automatically as you ask folks to move and smile to show their having such a good time, etc. But, for the record, it ain't illegal to take pics in public, anywhere, of anyone, at least nnot in North America. There may be some additional concerns when the subject is fully or partially unclothed, however. LOL! Like that hot chick's boyfriend or husband barreling down at ya while your trying to snap a pic for the scrap book to prove to your boys back home that you weren't lying.... Ran into THAT guy the last time. Finally I asked him if he just wanted a pic actually with Stacia he could show his friends, and I took it for him. She vamped for it and totally embarrassed the kid, which was hilarious. Made his day, I think.
this is not the popular opinion and i hope i dont get flamed...but we knew when we booked the resort that people would be taking pictures as im sure everyone does....we dont want them on the internet anymore than anyone else, but you take that chance...people are always going to take pictures of the funny games, the overall atmosphere of the resort, and then your typical "here i am on vacation photos"....its part of the game that being said, the ppl creeping around taking just boob shots or ass shots or whatever is ridiculous but i dont see anyway to weed them out without banning cameras altogether, and i wouldnt want that to happen either....i mean, we even went on steves Boobs Cruise and managed to take pictures without any nudity in them so if that is possible......
