To Mexico....and all-inclusive. Is it best to just use cash, and how much? Also, would It be safe to use credit cards? I'll probably have a few more questions as time draws near ( 7/15 thru 7/22) Thanks in advance. This is a very informative site.

A couple of things before you leave, we have 1 card that we only use there so it's easier to keep track of.
1 make sure and call and let your bank/credit card company know you will be traveling, when and where so they will know that it is you using the cards and that they haven't been stolen this can save you some headaches on your card being declined or temporarily suspended.
    2. Check with your back/CC company to see what fees they impose for using your card in another country and what exchange rate they will charge you. some U.S. Banks have partnerships with banks in Mexico so there are little or no fees on using an atm. Others charge up to 10%.

what TNCJ1 said..we used 1 Card..spent about 10 to 15 a day on tips..it really depended upon how well the service was..you are going to the GP no? if so make friends with Jose, Moises, (tiki bar) Fermin (60's bar), and Fonzy Old Barn..they are the best bartenders..Gabby is one of the best bar attendants at the pool. Edith is a good attendant at the beer garden and 60's bar. DO NOT use the ATM at the GP..they are not affilliated with any bank and you will get hit by bank charges. There are a couple of banks close by where you can use their ATM's. Watch your exchange rate..it will vary by quite a bit..some places were 12 to 1 others were 16 to 1..and in between.
