    Hello new friends!

My beautiful girl and I are visiting cancun for the very first time in February 2015. We have nights booked at Temptation, as well as another resort. We will be at Temptation for Valentine's day and we were wondering if there will be any fun events going on. Also, since it is our first trip to TTR, any tips would be appreciated. What to pack, costumes etc....seems like there are a lot of themed parties, so we wanna be prepared! Thanks in advance!

Hi there. Check out the threads on this forum. Every time we go we always seem to over pack! The themes can be found on here and also the resort had theme nights too, like lingerie night. Have lots of fun and I'm sure you'll be back!! This resort is addictive!

The Temptation website only has events through the end of the year. I guess I will look around here and figure out the themes. Are they specific to particular dates, or do they go by days of the week?

    I am sorry...U R right.
It has been a while since I was on there. Just checked.
Seems they eliminate from the events calendar as the months roll by.
I see Easter weekend is gone now too.

Anyway...they will have a few special events (lovers oriented) to mark Valentines.
Never been for that week so can't say specifically.
    But you will have fun

There is a pile of us that are going to be there during this week. If you are looking for a romantic dinner by the ocean and long walks on the beach while watching the moon, then great. We'll be the loud drunken assholes wrecking your valentines day. But if you are looking for a party, then you'll love it.

Great week to come. Don't forget your blow up farm animals. See you there!

If you are looking to spoil you're girl before partying at Paty'Os later in the night, the Private Moonlit Dinner on the Beach is really romantic. I did it for our 1st Year Anniversary. There is a newly built open hut on the beach next to the Carribean Restaurant where they roll out a red carpert and have tiki candles lighting the way! 3 Course Meal and Wine/Champagne etc. A private waiter/waitress service and they literally can't do enough for you. Outstanding and well worth the money just for the experience. Ask Jeanette on Guest Services and she'll help you put everything together. If you look on the website there is an email address for Guest Services.

After you're meal, hit Paty'Os and dirty dance the night away! Enjoy! :icon_mrgreen:

Yes. Week 8 has gotten a little blurry. It started off as being the last week of February. Then the lines got blurred as people started going a little earlier in February. As a result, Week 8 as a term now spans from approximately mid February til the end of February depending on who is using the term. Regardless of the terminology, last half of February is an excellent time to go as both groups are a pile of fun.

I'll tell you right now, that with booking the trip from the 12th to the 16th, you're going to be kicking yourself on the 16th. If you could extend it a couple days, that would be a good idea. 4 days is like leaving the strip club at the start of the second song. You'll have a good idea about what's happening, but you're going to wish that you didn't miss out on the good part.

The trick to the making TTR fun is intentionally stepping outside of your comfort zone. Volunteer for games and put yourself out there. It's a different sort of people at TTR. Standing up in front of a crowd of 300 and doing your best helicopter will make you many more friends at TTR that it will at home. It's an experience, but you have put yourself out there and make it an experience.
