Hey All, It's senior year for us, and we're looking to do Cancun for spring break as a great last trip before we all go our separate ways. The group of us will either be 4 or 6 guys and we're looking for the best way to do Cancun. Now unfortunately, being typical college kids, our budget is slightly tight...so we're looking to keep it around a grand per person. We're going down the 3rd or 4th until the 10th and looking on Priceline, it looks like the most reasonable all inclusive resort while not sacrificing too much quality is Royal Solaris, going for 932 including flight out of Boston and all taxes per person...but one thing I've noticed in all my searching is Priceline is the only place I've found Royal Solaris in any included resorts, most others seem to just be Oasis, Krystal, etc. Pretty much just looking to see if Royal Solaris is a good idea, and also if you guys have any tips, I know we've been looking into the party passes and such, and those seem like a good deal to get as well if you're looking to go out every night. Any other tips or possibly even cheaper all inclusive trips? Thanks in advance.:beer4:
alright..well that question and any helpful advice was a no go...but here's another question. We've found a couple places to book Oasis for relatively cheap(about half of what Student City wants)...my question is, if we book Oasis through a different service and not Student City...are we still allowed to do everything that's going on at Oasis?
Studentcity is a small fraction of spring breakers believe it or not. They are just smart and make it seem like everything in cancun during spring break is centered around their events. Oasis is gonna be the oasis if you are with studentcity or not. You will be able to drink all day and enjoy the stage on the beach.
teebs, sorry it took me so long to answer... i had typed a whole long reply and somehow deleted it, got so pissed that decided to do it another day (today) if you can book oasis, go for it... you will have the best party atmosphere, now if you are gonna bitch about shitty rooms and shitty food, then just dont. If you are in a small budget, what i would do would be stay at cheap not all inclusive hotel (european plan) and just buy daypasses for oasis, that way, the day that you dont feel like partying like a teenager, you can just chill at the beach on your hotel or go out downtown or even (dare i to say) take a tour... There are a lot of cool hotels that offer a good service without being all inclusive.\ you can always eat at the surfing burrito for less than $10usd and they even deliver. hope this helps.
When staying at the oasis dont eat their food. Only the mexican restaraunt's chips and guac and edible everything else will make you vomit. Surfing burrito treated me well in cancun i ate there twice a day.
awesome appreciate the responses guys, I am looking to book it this week or next. SC does do a great job making you feel like they're the party, but I've had enough sitting through marketing class to check on it. Now, I've got SC talked down to matching my 950 pp for 5 nights, which is pretty much our budget anywhere, max at probably 1000 give or take...is it best to go with them or just book it yourself through like a orbitz, expedia, or even apple vacations? and is the food really vomit worthy? I mean we don't expect to be dining 5 star or anything, but is it really that bad? figured the most help would come from those who have been there done that.
The food made kellz sick last year even though it was probably all the tequila. Everyone i know who has eaten the food for 2-3 days straight has been on the toilet and its bad enough they dont even flush at the oasis. If studentcity is willing to pricematch why the hell not? Heres my oasis story- No hot water - check non flushing toilet - check ac that either didnt work or was stuck on 54 degrees Fahrenheit - check no water pressure in shower - check asking for 2 beds and getting a king bed - check 20 inch tube tv with fuzzy channels - check musty smell - check And this was in a grand oasis room in phase 1 ocean view side. Yea basically im gonna stay at the oasis this year again.
Yikes. Yeah I've read stories like that about the rooms, but then I've read good stories too..sounds like luck of the draw. Looks like Student City comes with a meal plan around town, so that'll be good for sure as far as the food situation. Anything else I should know before booking this beast?
@ nuno I got sick at the tequila but the food made it worse...your at oasis again tho was omni.. Oasis was alright for me beside the food and the housekeeping lady knocking down my room door every 3m smh... AC was fine toilet was at full function tv mm I don't even think we had one lol... Food by the bar sucks big time!!
