Hello - i am new to this site and hoping for some advice please. I am flying to Cancun from rainy Uk on sat 23rd June for 10 days and im slightly worried about the forecast in Cancun. Its showing 60% rain and cloudy the whole time we are there it does not even show a sun on the forecast . I am not the type of person to let it totally kill my holiday if i can avoid it i just hope im not stuck indoors for the 10 days that i am there for. Can you still go on day trips when weather is bad or do they get cancelled off?? is there things we can do if it is raining?? its my partners bday while we are away so i really do hope it is not constant rain while we are there. Does anybody no what the weather is like at the mo?? im staying at the Great Parnassus by the way - thank you :(:aktion030:

It rained some over the weekend...really nice now. Sunny and hot! I wouldn't let the forecast worry you...this time of year it always says rain, but even if it does rain usually it won't be an all day deal or a lot of times it will rain late in the night but be sunny during the day.

thank you very much for replying really appreciate it. I looked on the forecast and it shows some sun today and for the next but the day we travel and for the whole 10 days we are over there it shows rain rain rain no sun at all :( so it made me worry. I was hoping to swim with dolphins and other days trips. Do these normally get cancelled when its raining?? thanks again

It's rainy season at the moment so the chance of getting rain is high.

It usually only lasts a couple of hours then the sun comes out again - obviously sometimes it lasts longer.

It's still scorching hot though, like 30 degrees.

A great time of year to come is February when it's warm and dry.

You'll still be able to go on trips and swim with dolphins and stuff, unless we get a really bad spell of weather.

I'm looking out the office window now and it's scorching sunshine! Wish I was at the beach...

I've been on some vacations it rained the entire time.

Going to a tropical resort it will certainly take away from the sun aspect. However you can still have a good time and make the best of it. It rained a couple days when I was at TTR in May, and actually the rain wound up being some of my best Memories. I'm not saying if it rained the ENTIRE time I would have been thrilled. It will be raining for you and everyone else there though, so make some friends have some drinks and make the best of it.

Not raining now but it did rain all night.

With an umbrella you could still visit the ruins at any number of the available options.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a cenote on a rainy day and we had a blast.

kimmyandtom are probably airborne now but hopefully will catch some sun. As Matkirk said earlier, the rains typically don't last long. I would say sometimes only minutes and not even hard enough to get off your beach blanket. This last two days are an exception as we have had almost non stop rain.
