I am going to do this in segments, as I want to be thorough and don't have long stretches of time to do this. Our dates were 9/8 to 9/14. We arrived at the airport around 11 am. No problems and went right through customs. USA Transport was waiting out front as promised and it was a quick jaunt to the hotel. This is us in the shuttle. We did the early check in on line so check in was quick except that they didn't have our room ready yet so we had to wait an hour for that. As soon as we finished checking in, we were told to see the concierge to get information about the resort. I saw the guy in the red jacket waiting for us and thanks to this forum I knew it was going to be a sales pitch so I asked the front desk clerk where the nearest bathroom was. fortunately it was in the opposite direction from the salesman and right by the door to outside so we went in that direction and out the door. never had any other issues with them. We went to the bar for a drink.
Whoa!!! that pic is a little too up close and personal. I need to shrink those down before we get too interesting. LOL
At the bar we met our first cancuncare friends easyrider from England. They introduced us to several others. After a couple drinks we took a tour of the resort and then went to the desk for our room. I had also rented a phone form cancun valet and it was at the front desk for us. The room was fine except the air wasn't working properly. We stayed in it that night but we asked for a new room Friday morning, both because of the air and the fact that it was right over Patty O's and very noisy. After a quick change we were back at the sexy pool and found tmac (Terry and Kat) who we had met at the bar earlier. They introduced us to some other folks who began the formation of our core friends for the first half of our week. (TMac, thanks for taking us under your wing)
After hanging at the pool for the afternoon, we changed for dinner and went to the seafood restaurant. It was nice enough. The soup was excellent. Don't remember what it was called, but I wish i had gone back another day for some more. I had the filet and shrimp and Tonya had some fish. Hers was pretty good. My filet was horrible, but the shrimp was good. Then we went to change for Lingerie night.
Oh I forgot to mention that during the course of the afternoon at the pool we had seen another couple who were by themselves and after awhile Tonya told me to go invite them over. I had already planned to do it. They became part of our group and hung with us for the next few days. Let me introduce you to the very funny Mark and his very hot wife Peggy:
Tonya spent a lot of time looking for the right Lingerie and she looked, well mmmmm, mmmmm! Unfortunately after only about 10 minutes in Nice Shoes she began to feel light headed and hot and needed to go back to the room. She didn't feel any better the rest of the night so she stayed in bed and tried to sleep (hence the noise issue) and I went down to Patty O's (yes I checked on her a couple times). I danced my ass off, well my clothes off anyway. It got so hot I had to strip down to my boxer briefs. Of course the rest of our group were still in their undies so that was fine. Not sure I can show any of those pics without their permission.
Most days were similar. We would wake up around 7:30 or 8:00. Go out to the pool and get a couple chairs. Then we would get some breakfast. After breakfast we would go to our chairs and read while we waited for the bar to open at 10 and more people to show up. Then the all day pool party would begin. Dinners were usually around 6 and then we would take an hour nap before getting ready for the night activities. Friday night white nite: That was on the way to dinner. she changed into something more fun for the Patty O's. See! Kat in her smokin hot dress Non stop dancing. Well we stopped long enough to drink!
Oh I forgot. On friday we recruited another couple. Mary and Jesus. Jesus didn't speak much English so Mary was our interpreter, but Jesus and I became best buds. One phrase that Jesus learned and used quite frequently when talking to me was "You're crazy man!" Jesus, you are my brother from another mother:icon_lol:
