We are planning a trip in July. I'm having a hard time find out about any differences at the resort. I'm curious about the different rooms. It looks like you get a different color bracelet if you stay in certain rooms. Can anyone explain this? What rooms should we book based on your experience? Also have questions about alcohol. Is the alcohol top shelf or is there an option to upgrade? We are wanting to have a great time and avoid the things you miss out on for your first time. I hate when you go on vacation and by the last day feel like you finally have the place figured out and wish you had known about something from day 1. Thanks for any and all advice.
Recommend you stay in the tower in a Bash class room. Least expensive room in the tower and provides free access to the roof top bar and pool area. You are in the right place to learn from others and searching this site should provide you all kinds of current details. Join the roll call thread of the month you want to travel and introduce yourself around. You’ll make new friends and gain those desires insights rapidly. Happy planning!
Getting the Bash Class Tower room is one good option, as I think (Kyle? Do you know for sure?) that you get an up-tick on the quality of your liquor options, though what constitutes "Top Shelf" in mexico isn't going to be what you'd equate it with pretty much anywhere in the states at a typical bar with decent selections. For example, if, like me, you are a small batch bourbon guy (or like quality Scotch or whiskeys), you just won't find that at TTR -=- unless you bring it yourself. Not a bad option, really. You can pour your most important one, the first one of the night, of "your good stuff," then drink whatever is free the rest of the night. Alternatively, you can bring your bottle out with you and they'll keep it safe behind the bar for you and do all your setups, and when you're done they'll give the bottle back. The rooftop/Sky Bar is a fun place to have access to, Especially when you don't have to pay $40 to go up there for what might be (depending on how many people are up there) a 15-minute visit or an all-day stay. It's changeable up there. Food is great, though... some of the best at the resort is served up there during the day. Depending on how much you want to spend, a nice premium room upgrade is a Master Suite. Lots more space, if you want/need that or want to be able to have mini-parties in your room. Comes with a jacuzzi and you "can" get special things set up. Worth looking at, if only to price check vs. the upgraded access to coolness. As stated above, find the appropriate Roll Call thread, drop the requested note indicating you & yours are going to show up n whatever day for however long, and indicate whether or not you are Boobs Cruise interested (you should be, Everyone should go on the Boobs Cruise at least once in their lives... some have gone maybe 50 times, it's that kind of thing). You can find much more info on the Boobs Cruise in Steve's threads on the subject for the appropriate month (though July's may not be out yet, he's about 4 months ahead). Have your lady buy bikini bottoms that are way smaller than anything she'd think of wearing before this trip, seriously. Once at TTR, if she doesn't have a tiny Dubio, Wicked Weasel, Malibu Strings, Skin bikini or other some such teensy-tiny micro suit to "opt into" at some point during the vacation, she may well have, as you indicated, "missed an opportunity." Take advantage of the roll call threads to see who is going at the same time as you and take a few minutes to perhaps PM folks whose posts sort of indicate friendliness and likability to you and send PM introducing yoru selves so you "have a crew" to meet up with and learn the ropes of the resort (such as where the restrooms around the pool happen to be, or what theme night is tonight, or which restaurant is the best fit for tonight, or what is a good shot to have, like that). And, most of all, dig intot he threads, both new & old, on Cancuncare.com... there's a treasure trove of info already having been discussed.
