    Hi guys

Glad I have found this forum. I have just booked a last minute deal to Temptations first week in Sept. 37yo Single guy travelling from UK. Been to Mexico before but never to Temptations

I have a few questions so hope you experienced ones can help

    1) The introduction breakfast..As I have no interest (or funds) in buying a timeshare/points or whatever would it be best to decline this invitation. i have heard there is a lot of pressure put on you to attend and I dont want to waste 1/2 day. Whats the best way to decline or should I just go with it and not buy?

    2) Is food and drink available 24/7? Are premium brands available to all or just certain members? Do certain members have different bands and get better treatment?

    3) I would like to goto Coco Bongos one night ..as last time I was there I had a blast...Is it best to go with TTR staff on their night. Do you get priority entrance and private area with regular drink top ups. I know how hard it can be to get drink in Coco Bongos.

    4) I have paid for a sole use of double room....What sort of room am i likely to get. Would hate to get stuck in a tiny box room single as I have in some hotels.

    Hope you guys can help

    Thanks
    Nugg

    The answer's to your questions.

    1) you don't have to go at all. They will put invitations under your door, just ignore them and go about your day. If you don't talk to the people un the lobby at the desks you won't have any trouble with it.

    2) Food is available 24 hrs drinks I believe have a short break from about 4am to 7am not completely sure about that we are usually alseep by this point. We like to get up around nine to get our day started. We love to play the games they have. If you tip your bar staff really well and stay with the same bartender you can get any alcohol they have.

    3) Go with the resort on mondays, my sis in law went with out the resort and couldn't find a seat or get a drink. I have always went with the resort and recieved great drinks and service. you get to walk straight past the lines and get to your seats. We will be there sept 4-12 and we plan on going as we always do.

    4) You will still get the same size room, That's why you pay so much. A single person takes up a room that 2 or 3 people can stay in.

I hope this helps if you see us don't be afraid to say hi, we always enjoy partying with the people from england you guys always know how to party. In fact we are going at this time so we can meet up with friends from england we met last year.

Thanks for taking the time to answer Mike.

    1) Simple: Don't book the breakfast. If they insist on booking one, don't show up for it. If they don't get the message then, tell them you just declared bankruptcy. That'll shut them up. (Kidding, you won't need to do that - just don't show.)

    2) Yes but don't know about the premium brands issue.

    3) the one club experience we had with the resort, was similar to this - wasn't CocoBongo though.

    4) No clue

Not sure what this question means. You booked a room with two beds?

Or you're travelling alone and paid a surcharge for the room. If so, that's usual (except for Singles Week, perhaps) -- the prices you usually see are based on double occupancy.

The rooms are not all the same size or design, even if they are advertised in the same rate class.

My advise would be to ask for a room facing the quiet pool. If you do get a room you don't like, ask the front desk to switch you -- if the resort is moderatge capacity, this shouldn't be a problem.

On the timeshare thing... zero pressure. Just don't show up or decline. I have been a few times, and was never even asked me to go on the breakfast tour.
