Hi, Myself and my partner are heading to our first all inclusive hotel - The Golden Parnassus - for our first trip to Mexico at the end of May. I'm really excited, but don't really know what to expect and had some questions for people who've been there before. 1)What activities are available at the resort? 2)Do they take you any boat trips or scuba diving and such? And do you have to pay extra for these? 3) How much is the spa and is it worth going to? 4) When they say "all inclusive" what isn't included? (Trying to figure out how much money to take) 5) Do they supply you with towels or do you have to bring your own? Is there any other tips anyone has or recommendations for places to go? Thanks!
1)What activities are available at the resort? Beach volleyball, pool volley ball. They play lots of trivia games there's pretty much always something going on during the day 2)Do they take you any boat trips or scuba diving and such? And do you have to pay extra for these? If you have a golden room there is a weekly lunch cruise you get. That's the only boat trip they have. You can purchase other trips and scuba trips from the towel hut. 3) How much is the spa and is it worth going to? The spa is priced like any other spa depends on what you get. We usually get the 90minute couples massage, it's like $250 US. 4) When they say "all inclusive" what isn't included? (Trying to figure out how much money to take)every thing at the 2 resorts are included. You won't need money for anything at the resort. If you plan on buying souvenirs or going into town will be the only thing you need money for. 5) Do they supply you with towels or do you have to bring your own?they supply towels. They give you a towel card that you exchange for towels. Don't lose it it cost like $25 to replace.
Went to that hotel for our honeymoon 5 years ago and it is lovely ! You could order a steak sandwich at 3am to be brought to your room and that was all inclusive too! The drinks especially the cocktails are superb. As are all the restaurants especially the Al a cart'e . Be sure to ask Jose at the beach bar for a ' Mexican Viagra' shot , awesome!
While the GP is an all-inclusive, tips included, it is very much appreciated by the staff if you tip them a couple of bucks on occasion. They are the hardest working bunch you will ever see and they really deserve more than the meager daily wage they are paid. A little tipping goes a long way. I take a couple of hundred dollars for 8 days of tipping. Waiters, bartenders, pool/beach waitress. umbrella guy, and housekeeping.
