Just wondering if we should use only peso's, for payments for Boobs Cruise, tips, shopping. If we convert to US dollar we lose 25-30%. USA Transfers also takes Canadian money as well. Advice?

Pesos is accepted everywhere so why not save on $ that way.
That being said, we always take down some US just in case we were in a situation!
Order your money in advance so that you can request lots of 1's and 5's
    Have fun :lotsofmichaelfs:

Win the lottery , rob a bank , gain an inheritance from your long lost grandmothers sisters cousin 15 times removed .......The CAN $ sucks period and weather you change it to US or pesos it don't matter your gonna get hit as every currency is measured against the US dollar .

We all suffer the exchange blues, however unless you plan on doing a ton of shopping, you really should not need a ton of dough! it is after all all inclusive. As for shopping, our experience is that goods are the same price as in Canada now with the exchange. the local market outside TTR is ridiculously cheap for souvenirs too, exchange or not, but bring pesos for that (and know your conversion and haggle even if you think its a good deal, its part of life there and can be quite entertaining) Duty free, depending on how you fly......, buy from the airline duty free in CAD$. Tips should not make you crazy either, all staff appreciate the tip but its not expected, tip the pool bartenders $20 + when you arrive and tell them what you want, tell them your name and remember theirs, they will recognize you all week. they are awesome. Find us, we are premier memebers and happy to get you top shelf liquor. Its gonna be an awesome time, dont sweat the $$, Like G&M we can just make more and in 3 months you will only remember how you want to go back!! Cheers Roger and Sarvy

We did a variety of currency this time, I had some pesos, not enough, so took some US exchanged pre-shitty rates and some exchanged at current highway robbery rates. (Actually I think highway robbers would have taken less)

Point is, it doesn't matter, but pesos are a way better deal. My thought is, I have X number of $$ to spend on tips. I try to get as many of those to the staff as I can and not to some currency trader.
