Thinking of going in feb. What is the weather and pool temp. like that time of year. This is sort of a pretrip to our annual May trip. Thinking of 2-8 thru 2-16
We always go in February. There are usually a day or two where there are clouds, windy and maybe some rain BUT it never lasts. On those days we'll usually head to the market get that souvenier shopping out of the way. Plus it's fun to hit some of the bars away from the resort.
We were at TTR early February last year. Basically, the weather was fine ranging from high 70's to low 80's. We had little rain but a few clouds interrupted a couple of afternoons. We are booked again for Feb 2-9. Let sunshine rule!
I was in Cancun last year the last couple of days of January and first few of Feb. It was windy and cloudy the whole time, until s 3-day rainstorm blew in. Yikes!!! From what I hear, January thru early February can be hit and miss, but that the weather is more reliably good by late February (which is probably why there is a big regular group that goes every year in the last 10 days of February...the Week Eight crew).
We'll be there in February too and are expecting nothing but sunny dispositions :sunny: and warm fronts:flash:
we a;ways go in Febuary.1st couple of years we would hit it for Valentine Day cannot remember many bad days but lots of good ones.Last 2 yrs we have gone around Feb 20.2 yrs ago weather was windy and cloudy i remember not going in the pool because water was cold.Last yr we went on the 20th for 9 days and everyday except 1 was sunny and warm.We are going for 10 days this year FEB 21 TO MARCH 2.Hoping weather will be great again
The later you go in February, the warmer the weather will be. As was said before, it is about Week 8 when the weather is getting closer to perfect.
I went in feb twice and this year we are going in may as the pool was cold and we had 1 wash out each trip. Sun also goes down a little earlier than I would hope for a tropical vacation. Still an AMAZING time but if you don't get away much like us then you want it warm!
As was mentioned above, the later in February the better. The last week is ideal for us. It was warm every day last year except maybe one. It was definitely not cold, just cloudy.
