Wife and I just came back from our first trip, we loved it of course, but didn't know anything and didn't plan right. We are planning our next trip will be the very first week of February and want to be prepared, so few questions to follow... First, will it be too cold? I imagine the party is a little different when it's colder? Second, we are thinking of getting a tower room, can't decide between Bash Playful Experience and Lush Playful Experience, even though we read reviews. Can someone please point out key differences? Also, tower or owner bracelets same/similar? Thanks for your time helping us out!
February is a great time to go but keep in mind the TTR cruise is in Feb so the resort may not be as full. Plan accordingly with your dates. It isn’t cold ever in Cancun but there could be a chill in the morning. It’s very nice at night at Bash as it’s not so humid. The pool water is warm enough to take the chill out so you won’t notice any difference between then or any other time (except July/Aug when water feels like piss since it’s so hot). Bash and Lush are identical except Lush has a hot tub on the balcony. Lush is also center of the U where Bash is along the sides. Tower guest do not get what members get as far as bands. Not sure specifically comes with playful experience, you can find that out on the website, but typically tower guest will get access to Sky Bar free of charge.
Great info, thanks! Didn't think about the cruise, but this is the only time both of us can take, so end of Jan/beginning of Feb it is. Lots of perks for playful upgrade, not sure how it compares to member's experience, we can't find a difference, just don't want to miss anything
We’ve been there during the cruise dates and still pretty much full at the resort! One of our best trips! So no worries! We love February!!
I show these are the perks, below, for playful experience. The only thing similar to what members get is the bed at bash/sexy pool and 25% off at the spa. To get true member benefits you have to be a member, a beneficiary or buy a bonus week from a member. They aren’t going to give member benefits under the playful experience Package otherwise why spend $30k to be a member. There are only a small handful of people who can sell them. Maybe 3 or 4 that I’ve ever seen. Is it worth it, yes but if you can find someone who has one.
Been in FEB for the last 3 trips, the weather is great and not cold. The crowd is good. Full or close to it. Even with the cruise the crowds seem to be the same at the resort. This year we will see how the crowds will be effected by the new DR resort.
