We're planning to run cruises on the following dates in February 2015. March dates will be announced at the end of January Thursday 5th February - (re-arranged from 6th) deposits open here Monday 9th February - cancelled Wednesday 11th February - deposits open here Saturday 14th February - deposits open here Monday 16th February - deposits open here Wednesday 18th February - deposits open here Saturday 21st February - deposits open here Tuesday 24th February - deposits open here Saturday 28th February - deposits open here Each cruise will open up for deposits one month before. So 6th February will open for deposits on 6th January etc. etc. We always aim to open at 1pm Cancun time. Each time a cruise opens a sign up thread will be posted and I'll link to it from here and from the relevant monthly roll call. Each cruise will need 25 deposits paid to reach confirmed status, and the maximum for each cruise is 70 (subject to review with new boat pending). If we don't reach confirmed status one week before the proposed date, then all deposits are refunded and the cruise is cancelled. Rationale for chosen dates: In 2014 February was our third busiest month and already the roll call for 2015 has more people on it than we had last year at this time. We are looking at a very busy month and therefore will be running lots of dates. In 2014 we ran 7 cruises and sold out at least half of them and had to turn people away. This year we'll be running 9 cruises. The month starts off a little slow with around 30-40 people at the hotel each day in the first week of Feb, but then increases in the 2nd week to around 60-80 and over 100 in week 3 before dropping back to 60ish in the fourth week. The frequency of cruises reflects this fluctuation, with more cruises at times of high demand and less often when it is more quiet. I assess the numbers from the roll calls and various other threads and they don't take account of: - people who didn't add their dates to the roll call - new people who join between now and the cruise date - people who want to do more than one cruise - couples who are also bringing friends (have been counted as two) - folks staying at GOV, Desire or other hotels in Cancun - people who predominantly hang out at the Cancuncare/TTR Facebook group - people who book via our cancunboobsruise.com website - email requests from people who don't publicly post anywhere. So, it follows that my figures are probably a large underestimate of the actual number of people who will be in Cancun that have a connection with cancuncare in one way or another. Lets see how interest in the dates above go, we may have to make tweaks as time progresses depending on interest and feedback.
