I'm in Houston for a few more weeks but need some information from someone living there. At km 7.5, just past Quetzal as you approach the HZ, there is a strip center on the right. It has a coffee shop, restaurant, bakery and grocery store. I really need the name of the bakery and coffee shop. And if you got phone numbers, I'll give you a big hug when I get back. :icon_razz: Anyone?
Denise, Is Bruce talking about the plaza where Tycoz is? The bakery website looks like they have yummy things but I cannot find a map, address or other location info? Cheers,
Muchas gracias. I remember the coffee shop as having great coffee when I was staying nearby. Lots of taxi drivers stop by there, which is a powerful endorsement. Honestly, most coffee in Mexico sucks, but that's coming from a guy who's been spoiled in Bogota.
TJ, I don't recognize that name but if you're heading into the HZ, it's on the right at km 7.5 just as you pass Quetzal. In order of tiendas, there is a coffee shop, restaurant, laundry, bakery and grocery store. I don't recall the name of any of them.
You should suggest an address, location info, map or something on their website next time you go in there. It's pretty darn close to you. Looks so good I might even make a special stop there soon. Thanks Denise
» Tere Cazola » ºPasteles ºPanes ºPays ºBocadillos I think this non spanish speaking american found your directions. Looks like they have several locations in Q Roo. Oops. Thanks Gonzo. I was only looking at the pictures. Duh. They do look pretty good. I have been to the one at Plaza Las Avenidas before. I just didn't pay attention to the name.
I really miss going to the bakery down there. Much better than my local bakery. Most mornings when visiting, I always took a stroll to the bakery behind the Ty-Coz near the bus station.
