Just doing some last minute budgeting for our trip next week. I want to go banging around in the surf on a jet ski this trip. Two Q's - how much and is there anyone around the resort that's better than the others? Or is it pretty much all the same?

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! 8:00 AM flight, boobies up in the sunshine by 1:00!

40 bucks for 40 mins. You can do 20 for 20 as well if you want. They're all pretty much the same. Same machines around 115 hp and same price.

Not sure how tight your budget is Rob, but you can spend a bit more and do the jungle snorkling tour as well. I found that to be a very kool experience.

Thanks, Reg - we did that in 2007. It was fun for sure, but the part i enjoyed the most, honestly, was banging around in the little boat. If I could just rent one of those to go blasting around in for an hour, I'd be happy as hell. The snorkeling was lousy - the silt was all stirred up over the reef, there was a zillion snorkerlers out there ... bleah. Not my thing.

Both previous times I have been I used the waverunner guys several times at the property line on the quiet pool side. Never had a problem with them. You can buy at them or also at the activities hut near the sexy pool for them. If you're on a budget, negotiate. I play off both, get a price from the activity hut, $40/40 or whatever, then go see if the guys at the actual rental booth will beat it. Usually they will keep the $40, but give you like 50 mins instead. I don't think they have jet skis though, just waverunners.

May I ask what the difference is between a wave runner and a jet ski?

I believe the jet ski is the type that you stand on, not too sure about the wave runner?
