    Hi all,

I'm thinking about taking my son (13 years) to Cancun for March break, looking for recommendations on a family-oriented hotel that is reasonably priced. Thanks for your help.

Take a look at Crown Paradise Club, they cater to families. They have 5 pools (one has 2 waterslides), a teens club, soccer field, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. Food is good with 6 themed restaurants and 1 buffet restaurant.
They have an agreement with Marina Aqua World where you can do sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and pedal boats for free with your stay.
Across the street are the El Rey Ruins where you can feed iguanas.

We stayed at the Crown Paradise Club last weekend with our soon to be 5 year old, it's the first time we've stayed there. I found it a little old and tired. The kids facilities were quite good, the food was pretty poor though and the rooms not so great. We were there only for the weekend though and didnt get chance to try the specialty restuarants (they were closed due to it being Halloween and a 'spooky dinner' prepared at the conference suite instead).

We've stayed at Great Parnassus several times, again for the kids facilities and found them to be better, the food, rooms and entertainment too. The beach is definitely not as nice as Crown Paradise, but after the current beach restoration they may soon both be in excellent condition.
