haha, former classmates are claiming he stole the idea....wonder if they will win..guess it depends on the proof they have. at the university I was going to in Lawton last year, one of the business students stole someone's idea from a business plan they had to write for a class...the name, logo, and everything for a coffee shop just next to the campus....they took it to a local bank and got financing for it, opened it, and is quite successful from it. the student that it got stolen from was a youth member from our friend's church...our friend is the youth pastor at that church, and the name of his youth that he has had for years is the same name as the coffee shop, same logo, everything....the student had gotten permission to use it in his project for school....then someone 'stole' it. The church decided it wouldn't be 'church-like' to pursue copyright stuff towards the coffee shop...so he got away with that part of it. Wonder what kind of 'evidence' these facebook founder's classmates have....
During my copyright research I read that to protect yourself from idea thiefs you should write your idea down with all the details, rules or what have ya and mail it to yourself via registered mail. Don't open it unless someone steals it. Pretty clever if you ask me.
