Want to remind everybody of the importance of a recent photo of you both for your avatar and a relevant name. When a new person comes to the resort, they will have the most fun if they meet people and make friends. This can be kickstarted on here by firing out some one-liners and bring moderately entertaining for a few months in advance. But all that effort is lost if we don't know who the funny guy is. If you put up a pic that is identifiable, then when I see you at the resort, there should at least be a "hey I recognize that guy from CCC". And if your username is Dick & Jane, then that's even better. For new people coming to the resort, if your doing it right, you can probably name 50-60 people by the end of your week. (Lenny can probably name 80% by the end of his weeks). It's hard to remember all those name and faces. Much easier to remember Dick & Jane whose picture has been making you laugh for a month or 2 than it is to find Dudebro69 who doesn't have a picture for their avatar. One last thing. I'm sure you were hot in high school. But pictures from the last 5 years are better :icon_biggrin: One last piece of advise for people. Step outside your comfort zone. Way out. Actively do stuff that is not you in any way. Life is about experiences. If you can't find a way to get naked in front of 200 cheering strangers who are cheering for your cold and shy little Willie, then your missing out on a truly interesting experience. Get involved. Live your vacation. Don't just wait for it to end. See y'all in a month and a half.
Agree! Have only today updated our avatar, as we are another year older, and GoGo has changed her hair colour! It was amazing how many people did recognise us in the last 2 weeks just from that little pic . :daisy:

Agree totally. Wish we'd chosen our names (Todd and Laura) when we signed up, but we were being on the cautious side as newbies, but it's grown on us. Putting our names as a signature has been our attempt to make up for it.. --Laura
Each to their own really. Not everyone wants or can be as visible with their private lives. Some have grown up children they don't want to keep in the loop, or they have jobs where those in charge might not be as enlightened about TTR not being a sex/swinger resort. I can understand that, but I do agree you're much more likely to meet like-minded people and have fun if other guests know who you are and recognise you from pics. When at the resort I naturally tend to gravitate towards people that I recognise from the forum, and unfortunately I have a harder time remembering those that only had a random name and no pics. If able to, I'd always recommend people to use a real pic if they can.
We have always been lionsnzebras its just part of our life, our picture is from Cabo 2011. While our hair may have changed, there is pictures in our profile from last Feb. I do agree with Dave and Audrey though, recent face pictures will go a very long way. People recognized zebra even though she was rarely on CCC
