We did the express check-in last September. It made no difference. Front desk staff said they had recieved no info. But we feel it won't hurt to try it again. It only takes a few minutes to complete the express check-in.
Seems like a lot of the time the hotel doesn't get your information when you do express check-in, judging by people's posts here on CCC. I did the online check-in in December and my check-in was quick, and I got the quiet room and king bed I requested in the express check-in form (though I had also made those requests with my initial booking thru my travel provider so maybe that's how TTR got the requests). I guess the upshot is that it can't hurt to try, but don't be surprised if they don't have your express check-in info when you arrive.
We had the same thing happen last year, even though I printed the confirmation e-mail....no worries though, check in was a breeze, got the room we wanted and we were by the sexy pool before 11am!!!! 11 more days and we are back and yes I did the express check in again. Only takes a couple of minutes!!! Enjoy!!!!!:cheerleaders:
We did it last May and it seemed to work well for us. Didnt help us get a room any earlier than 3pm but they had all our info on hand. I would say it cant hurt.
We did express check-in and the hotel didn't get it. It was still very quick and easy checking in without having the express check-in. We will definitely still do the express check-in again and hope it works this time.
Well we did the express check in a week before our arrival.....and when we arrived, they had all our info and gave us wrist bands but told us they had no room for us that night and sent us to their affiliate resort.....Sea Adventure! That's right folks, they didn't even send us to Desire! It was our honeymoon and they sent us to to a children's water park....WTF?! Plus Sea Adventure is a dump. I will say that Temptations did make it up to us, but upgrading our room (we stayed for 2 weeks), giving up a late 5 pm check out, and 2 free 25 min massages. Ok, now that I've ranted....to answer your question....it really makes no difference to do express check in.
In general it takes less time to do the express check in on line than it does to type something on the board here and it costs nothing. Is it effective? Maybe? But you lose nothing other than a minute or so of your life to do it so I say go ahead and fill it in. results may vary!
