I've just been research the prices for XCaret. Is it worth it? And is there a min age requirement for the swim with dolphins? Our daugther is 6. Thanks.

Yes very worth it, Best zoo park I'd ever been to anywhere! I don't know about age req. for the dolphins. The show at night is amazing! If you have never been, its one of the top things you have to do in Mexico.

Children must be over 4 feet tall, and those under 8yrs have to be accompanied by an adult.

Xcaret is expensive but well worth it imho especially with kids.

I'm incredibly cheap, and even I agree that it's well worth every peso!

I usually get the Xcaret Plus package... you get a locker, towel, snorkel gear, lunch included, and some snack vouchers.

I agree it is totally worth it. I've been twice and may end up going again.

    Over priced?

Absolutely!! Costs way more than it should!

    Would I do it again?

    In a heart beat!

The photos, videos and memories that my wife and kids (and me) came away with will last a lifetime.

I dare anyone to swim with the dolphins and NOT smile.:icon_mrgreen: It just cannot be done!

I've been there twice and will definitely go back. It's not like anything you'll find in the States.

Make sure you do the "tour of the underworld"--they don't advertise it well in the park, but they take you through caves and to a lake where costumed actors surround you, acting out Mayan rituals!

In my opinion, Xcaret is better than Xelha, offers far, far more. And definitely worth the price. Be sure to get the Xcaret "Plus" package which includes your food, if you buy the buffets separately they're like $30 USD!! Much better off getting the package deal....
