a word of advice... when you get to the hotel, stay away from the travel people in the room by the pool tables. they charge more for the EXACT SAME TRIPS that you can book over where you get your towels from, by the sexy pool. for example, olympus travel wanted to charge us $75 for a day trip to isla mujeres. victor at the towel booth got us the EXACT same trip for $59. also, if you haven't been scuba diving yet, check out the guy by the sports pool. he'll take good care of you, and you'll have a lot of fun... unless you're claustrophobic.
Great tip, thanks! Going back again in 23 days (not that I'm counting) and bringing a friend who hasn't been on any excursions, so this will come in handy.
It is very true the best place to get the day trips is down next to the towels, they are helpful, it is not just about selling something it is about making sure you enjoy it too......
Also don't forget that there are more ways than an excursion to get to isla mujeres! We took a five minute walk down to the ferry and for 15 USD round trip, per person, you get a boat ride to isla and back. Then, you're free to roam the island and do what you want to do on your schedule.
steve cancuncare dont forget steve will organize a Boobs Cruise especially for cancuncare members only at least once per month on demand....:lotsofmichaelfs:
:announce: The guy (Johnny) across the road, beside the pharmacy was even cheaper again than the towel hut. He'll do reductions etc for groups. We got to know him so well we were calling him our personal tour agent: Johnny Tours
how much for the trip to isla mujeres, and what all's included? was he booking for the Temptation only cruises on tues/thurs?
Oh sorry I meant he was cheaper for all tours not specifically that tour. That was the one tour we didn't do. (Gotta leave some for next time I guess :crab
steves booze cruise isla mujeres there is a sticky at the top of Temptation forums that gives all details and prices of steves exclusive cancuncare isla mujeres boat trips.. i have done the isla with other trips and also by just getting the ferry , but steves is by far the most fun x I have met so many great cancuncare members through these trips xx and made lasting friends.
Did you pay for the tour in paso or US$? can you book tours with visa debit through any of the reps or the hotel?
