As if we didn't have enough threads for October already! But, since it is only a couple of weeks away and more people are looking for October information, I have compiled some important links that some of you have been so gracious to start. I am sure I am missing a few here and there so feel free to add anything missed. On Temptations website they say they are celebrating Oktoberfest there. Does anybody have any idea what that means? I couldn't find that they have any festivities or anything related to German beer drinking. Thanks if anyone has any input. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Last year they had a bunch if different beers from around the world. They did Octoberfest food around the pool in the afternoons also.
We were there last Oktoberfest too and honestly other then a little tent and some costumes on the staff I don't remember anything special....maybe I had a few too many cervaza's lolol
So here is what we can recall from last year... one day they had the official tapping of a fake keg. But then they handed out half yards filled up with the regular beer dos equis from the bar. It was still fun to have the entire pool chugging beer from the half yards. then a couple days they had girls dressed up in tiny german skirts (I forget what they are called) and prance around they also had 5 or 6 additional beers available that they would not normally have. I believe most involved a cost though. Maybe $2-$5 depending on which one. Was nice to have the additional option but I don't think anyone was really buying it. As of course dos equis remained free. i think that was about it. they had several things on the calendar, just like they did this year that was basically no different. For example, they called the regular pool party the Oktoberfest pool party instead. But it was different only in name and the girls and entertainment crew prancing around in outfits.
