This has been a test of your emergency preparedness. Did you have to look for your candles? This could suggest you're not prepared.

Brought to you by the Municipality of Benito Juarez.

    Power out

I just lost power for about 30 minutes, in mid post. Even Telcel was out, couldn't call anybody, and my internet service, through Cablemas, was also off. Of course, no lights.

    Anybody else hit?

Yes, same here. It is back... for how long?

I had planned a hurricane before leaving for France, so my candles and flash light are at hand, but I have no radio, so without electricity, I will just have to wait, knowing nothing  . Well, I am sure I will survive anyway.
Hopefully I won't get trapped as a rat, since if they evacuate us, I won't understand what they shout in their speakers.

    Quiet, now

It's a little disconcerting, after perhaps 36 hours of intermittent rain, often heavy, to have it be quiet, and dry. What will tomorrow bring...?

According to the forecast, it looks like we can expect the rains to resume, in earnest, aroung MN, tonight.

    The quiet before the storm.......

I dont think it's gonna be much to worry about, still a TS at the moment. Even if it goes Cat 1 we are far enough away and on the west side of it (much better than the east) for it not to be too bad.
