I just looked up his Chichen Itza date and the tickets are averging $5,000 mxn plus the $576 mxn for Ticketmaster's fee. I saw him years ago and paid the equivalent of $800 CAD...it was a package deal that included round-trip air, 2-nights hotel, dinner, transportation and awesome seats to see both him and Billy Joel...which ended up being a four-hour concert. Having that experience to compare it to, I'm not thinking Chichen Itza is worth the money. He still tours the rest of N. American for very reasonable ticket prices.
Tickets start at 500 pesos, then 1000, 2000, 3000 and then 5000. Tickets in Platinum area are 10,000 !!!! We bought our tickets today at Mixup in plaza las americas and are certainly not paying 5000 pesos each! Tracey
Hey, I'm a fan of Elton John and I hate the way ticketmaster takes advantage of the people. I found this agency that sells the tickets and offers transportation too! I called Yucatan Holidays. Hope it helps and see you at Chichen Itza!!
Ahhhh ticketmaster......... I got tickets to the Expierence Hendrix show here in MN in March and went through TM and the cost of the tix were 35.00 USD a piece (I wanted 2) and the TM charges were 34.00 USD for the 2 tix, So the total was 104 USD. I cancelled the order. So I had my mom go get them right at the venue (she lives within 5 miles of the venue) and the total from the venue's ticket office was 74.55 for 2 tickets. I HATE TICKETMASTER!

hey everyone, I'm a newbie to the forum, so bear with me. We are planning a trip to cancun with the sole purpose of seeing elton john at chichen itza except I can seem to get tickets??? every time I try on tm it will not take my info. Since yall have used the yucatan site is there any problem for me from here in the states? I would love some guidance!! and really don't want to pay tm prices!!!
Ticketmaster would not accept our UK bank cards on the website- hence we had to go into the agency and pay cash. Sorry I don't know any other way to get the tickets Tracey
Thanks! I called yucatan Holidays and got tickets!!! I talked to Isela and she was so helpful.. looking forward to the trip anyone have any other suggestions for day trips while there? I like the off the beaten path type stuff where the locals go and not so much the tourist thing.
