just wondering about electric outlets, are they the same as in america? also does anyone know if FREE internet acess is avaiable at Royal Solaris? if so i can bring my laptop, if not i am sure they offer a buisness room with a PC? also i am wondering about mo-ped rental? i notice my hotel is on the far right, on this map....and that its ONLY a 3 star. http://www.cancunfirstclass.com/cancun-map-eng.asp
Not sure about the other things, but the electric is 110V just like here in the States. You will be able to plug your things in with no problem.
Internet The majority of the Hotels in the HZ offer free wireless internet. I doubt that any charge. Bring some three to two prong 110v adapters as some of the electrical outlets do not have the third ground wire here. Jimmie T Cancun Casino Directory Cancun Casinos
I don't know about internet at the Royal Solaris specifically... but most charge for internet access. In December the internet cost at the Great Parnassus and Golden Parnassus was $10 US for 1 hour...up to $70 US for 3 days. I bought 1 hour to check it out. It was so slow I couldn't get an email to go through before the email timed out... So I gave up. Lol. Also, it seemed the signal was a lot better in the lobby than in the rooms.
I've stayed at the GR Solaris which is the sister resport 3 times. It is very nice. I believe they do charge for the internet. I really never checked. Hopefully you'll have enough going on that you won't need it. I have walked down the beach to the Royal before and it seems to be very nice. The pool area was nice and so was the food. It doesn't rate as high as the GR but we were going to go there instead of the GR this year until we found the Golden Parnassus. From what I experienced in a few hours there one day it was nice.
Free wi-fi is available in the lobby area. You can use their computers if you didn't bring your laptop but you gotta pay a few bucks per hour, the usual. Even though it is rated 3,5 I wouldn't consider making a opinion off of a star rating. The resort is completely spotless, rooms/bathrooms are very nice, food is great and so is the staff. Only thing; animation sucks. It's a family resort so don't expect much, even during the day it's boring. At night there are shows in the lobby area, you can get a little party over there but around 1am it's over.
Taking along a power strip, or extension cord is something to think about....also, a 3 prong to 2 prong plug.....just saying it helps depending on how the outlets are configured where you will be staying....never know what will come in handy!:musik001::musik001:
