Have not been there, but love "the distilileria", which is about kilometer 13 in the hotel zone. The "Molcajete" in the middle of the menu is fabulous! Pic your meats & it comes with cheese, mexican sausage, cactus, beans & nautural juices from the meats etc as well. Slice up what you like & put it on tortilla's! We chose the "sauce" from the appetizer menu as well which is more or less a salsa made fresh at your table. Simply wonderful with amazing flavor! Reasonably priced dinner/drinks as well!

I haven't been there either but if you want to experience actual Cancun, then venture downtown to Pericos Restaurant. It is a fun place to go plus you get to see the actual downtown area not the hotel zone. We have been there 4 or 5 times.
