There are a lot of things I have wanted to experience in life, being woken up just after 5:30am by an earthquake was NOT one of them!! One of the more crazy things I have been through...........hopefully never again lol http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/04/18/illinois.earthquake/index.html http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080418/ap_on_re_us/midwest_earthquake
Ya I would say. I live in an apartment and I thought someone was running up and down the stairs until I felt the walls rumbling and stuff started falling off my nightstand...........odd!!
It measured 5.4 on the scale and began 6 miles from Mount Carmel, Illinois and was felt all over the midwest states! That was the 2nd one that I've felt here in Chicago. Funny...when I lived in Los Angeles, I never felt 1.....but I've felt 2 here in Chicago. What are the odds of THAT!!LOL!!! Michelle
I heard a lot of talk about the earthquake this morning on the radio. Apparently it was felt here in Metro Detroit. I didn't feel a thing. :!:
Aftershock of 4.4 felt here around 11:20am also...........not very big but we felt it here in the office......crazy!
Really rumbled here in Southern Illinois, just about 70 miles south of Mt. Carmel. Measured 5.2 on scale at 4:37 AM with 4.4 aftershock about 10:15 AM. Really strange feeling.
as bizarre as it may seem, I want to experience an earthquake....not a huge one, but just enough to say that i have...idk im weird
