I am looking at booking my third trip. The first two were in February which was fantastic. I don't think I can wait until February 2014 to return. LOL I was considering booking early November in hopes that hurricane season is over. (I will of course be there in February again too haha):aktion033: Have you been in November? What did you think?
Many times but usually later in the month. Never had an issue with weather but in 1998 there was a cat 4 storm that blasted Honduras just south of the Yucatan. A hurricane cant be completely ruled out but it is rare by then. Trip insurance? :aktion025:
We were there last Nov 9-16 and the weather was good. It rained a couple times but didn't last longer than 5-10 minutes. Early Jan 2012 the weather was chilly and raining, so we decided to try Nov. And we are planning this Nov. as well
Roll of the Dice Its always a roll of the dice... I was there Nov 2011 and 5 days great weather and 1 and 1/2 days of solid rain. Trop Storm Season starts anywhere Mid June through Nov but its hit and miss you never know what your going to get.
We were there the 3rd week of Nov. 2012 and the weather was good in the low to mid 80. "82to 87 deg". The friends that we went with have gone in Nov. for the last 5 years with no problems. We are also going back this Nov.. See you there...Hams
The weather, as I remember, is good. Not scorching hot though. If it's cloudy, it genuinely does feel a little chilly and if the pool isn't heated again you have to find some liquid courage to keep in the pool for long periods of time. I don't mind the cool though. Coming from a freezing and sometimes snowy climate the 30'c or so is perfect.
We had a few rainy days and for us it was a little chilly at night. But we're from Florida and are used to the jungle hot summers
Time change in Mexico happens the first week of Nov. Which means dark at 5:30, cool breeze starts to roll in around 4pm - so people head in early as it gets chilly. The wind was blowing hard a few days with overcast partly cloudy skies. Early morning sun is bright and gorgeous so it pays to get your ass to the pool by 10am - we had no rain the week we were there. Quiet pool and sports pool were very cold - so night time swimming was a quick dip to cool off and then shivering. Bring your towels as the walk of shame back to your room while shivering & wet sucks.
