We are taking red eye into Cancun and arrive around 6 am. I am hoping to be at the resort by 7:30 am. Will the resort allow us to check-in understanding our room may not be ready until late afternoon? Only a few more sleeps before we go!
We've never had any trouble. You get your bracelet they keep your bags until your room is ready usually around 2pm if I remember correctly
We did the same, and it was an awesome experience. Airports are EMPTY, traffic is gone, and the resort gives you your wrist band and all and you can start enjoying right away. It made our first day feel like a real day. Best trip we've done!
Thanks for the info. Even though the red eye isn't the most ideal, At least we will get a full day at the resort on day 1 finally.
If you are overly tired a nap on the beach while others eat breakfast might keep you going for day one. If I did the red eye the first day curse would be guaranteed.
You can check-in anytime of day or night. Have seen people numerous times just checking in @ 2 am But you can never, really, ever check out!!
We always try to do a red eye to get the most of our vacation time. This year we will arrive at 4:45 am . No lines at immigration or customs! We always pack with the notion that they MAY lose our luggage and/or we dont want to have to rifle through our checked bags to get through out first day........ With that being said, we always take a backpack for our carry on. We pack this in it Swimsuit .... bottoms lol Cover up, and tank top for the buffet Clothes for dinner in a nice restaurant ie , dress , heels, slacks , shirt. Travel-size sun tan lotion Toothbrush and travel-size toothpaste Travel-size deodorant Travel-size shampoo and conditioner And anything else that you will need that can fit. We always figure if we can get to the pool be protected from the Sun brush our teeth, not stink and be able to go to a nice dinner that's all we really need for the first day! Another tip, We always pack everything and then we swap out to each others luggage, so half of my stuff is in his bag and half of his stuff is in my bag so if they do lose one of our pieces of luggage we at least have half of what you meant to bring until they get our luggage to us. Lol seems silly but we always pack for the worst case scenerio. Hope this helps!
