I just booked our third trip to Temptation to surprise my husband for his 30th birthday. I was thinking of upgrading to the drops of love package to make it a bit special and was wondering if it was worth it. Has anyone tried it? Thoughts?

    IMHO.
i would have to say no.
MY reason is that its kinda cool to have the hot tub on your patio (have had them several trips and only used once) the prices are sooo much more for that. if the huge diff in price dosent phase you then go for it. its kinda like first class..... for a little more i guess its cool (have upgraded a couple times at airport for $150) but would never pay double or triple upfront.

now part of that is because we go a couple times a year so its a "break" more than a "Vacation" if u get my meaning. if it was a big special one time trip like a honeymoon or a big anniversary (like you) i might consider it if the costs werent so much more.
hope this helps, either way have a great trip.

Book a regular room then email the resort and ask for a quote on a upgrade

Remember this may seem high but it includes a Jacuzzi suite on the quiet side of the resort which is so much worth it.

The Jacuzzi has saved many a days when it was raining or cooler

I think the Jacuzzi is only worth it in the colder months. We normally go in the summer and would never actually use it if we had one. If you are going during the colder months it does sound like a good time.

Someone else on the forum has upgraded to the drops of love package and highly recommended NOT getting it. They said it costed way to much for what you get. It says you have a private butler or something, but it's really just room service.

We,ve done and it was worth it.
    You can negotiate the price
You can also get the three day minimum then just the room.
The $100@ night includes the the Jacuzzi suite
They really give you personal service. You get priority reservations for restaurants ,,ect

you can upgrade the massage to a Sensual couples massage for about $100.

Wouldn, t do it every time but for special occasions :)

Thanks for the advice, I think I will contact the hotel and try to negotiate on price a bit.

Do a search for my posts on the forum from last Oct regarding drops of love, lots of detail there. Bottom line - no fucking way, not worth it at all! Spend that money on a Temptation suite upgrade instead, great view, more space, romantic, and buy your own flower petals and bath aromatherapy stuff :) hope you have a wonderful time!

My suggestion is to ask them how much it would be to have a private romantic dinner - that is the only valuable part of drops of love if you are celebrating. You don't need to pay them $800+ to make dinner reservations (which is what they call a butler), draw a bath one time, give you chocolate in the afternoon, and get a so-so couples massage - not worth it.
