So after booking resort I shoot an email to TTR Trying to bargain my city view room to be upgraded to drop of love, got a quote just shy of 100 bucks what we paid per person for this trip...I mean i knew its going to be expensive but "The extra charge for a Jacuzzi room with Drops of Love Package is $ 1,434.00 dollars". I would rather save that money for another trip to TTR....and just not go to the room too often :banghead:..... now I am thinking should I take the 64 bucks expedia jacuzzi deal or just go with the normal room. Any suggestions would be appreciated
the drops package price varies dramatically. when you email they are giving you the street price cheapest way, get the cheapest room, on check in tell them you want the Package for three nights ( there minimum) and then the J room. The package only includes one dinner , one spa ,one Hot tub Aroma thing, to pay for your whole stay is ridiculous. The Butler thing is really just a congeries at the front desk that will make your reservations for supper. You do get nice little chocolates and Roses. We did ours 2+ years ago. at the time you needed reservations for all restaurants , so that in itself was a selling point. We got to eat where ever and when ever we wanted . Not worth the price the quoted you but you can try on check in.
I saved my email from Laura last year. See below. I would respond and ask if the promotional rate of $717 a week is available and say you are only interested at that rate and you have a friend that received that rate in a previous visit and you would like it too to try out drops of love. Dear Kyle: The extra charge is $ 717.00 dlls per week. Now we have a promotion of Jacuzzi room with Drops of Love Package . A Jacuzzi Room with pool view and outdoor Jacuzzi on your private terrace includes: iPod Deck, Brand amenities, Room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Welcome fresh chocolate covered strawberries, fruit basket and bottle of sparkling wine, Daily petit fours, 1 lobster dinner for two in the privacy of your room, a dozen roses, 1(one)Couples massage (25 mins massage per person), Drops of Love Experience where your Jacuzzi will be prepared with selected essence, oils, candles and incense by your personal butler. been there 3 times and book the Jacuzzi room every time. For several reasons. One is you get a ground floor room near the quiet pool. As much as I like to party I also like to get away and recharge the batteries. Jacuzzi can be very relaxing. But the most important part is inevitably you can get some rain and or a little cooler times if you go during the winter. We take the party back to hot tub. We have had 8 people sitting around the edge of the hot tub soaking our feet and enjoying the warmth during cool spells. And it's not uncommon to tip the bartender and he will deliver the drinks right to you. Depending on which room you get.....there is nothing nicer that hot tubbing during a hard driving rain that doesn't come in on you.
It's a great place to be if it rains. We spent almost all of our trip in our patio Jacuzzi when we were there in October as it rained everyday. One time we even got a round of applause from those sitting at the quiet pool bar, but that's another story.
we also asked about the upgrade with it being our honeymoon and it is stupidly priced. will stick with normal room and just book another holiday for later in year with the extra they are wanting
We agree but in 19 trips only seen bad rain once ,so would not pay for the upgrade. That said we make lots of friends and party in there hot tubs:aktion033: I will do the bar runs!!! GLENN
So can you do a Jacuzzi room for a few days then? It's mine and my Wife's anniversary when we come on 1st June and that'd be a lovely surprise!
yes I asked expedia they said you can book as many days of jacuzzi as u like...but they dont guarantee you any jacuzzi rooms, it depends on availability. I was quoted 63 bucks more per day.
