I'm feeling lousy today and just had this thought:

After a serious workout, I often wake up the next day feeling sore and tired and ornery. The advice I receive: Exercise more.

After serious drinking, I often wake up the next day feeling sore and tired and ornery. The advice I receive: Drink less.

So I'm going to stop listening to advice.

You wouldn't get that advice that at my house. People constantly wake up, come up from the basement, say "I feel so shitty", open the fridge, grab a beer, and go sit on the deck and pull their shit together for the upcoming Saturday adventure or Sunday Funday.

New friends see this odd behavior and say things like: "Did that just happen" or "Are they OK", and I have to inform them that this is what we do. If you're still downstairs in the Batcave past an acceptable morning hour, and you finally wake up still drunk/hungover, then your pretty much in for round 2.
