drinking water at Temptation

We will be there 2/22 for one week. Can we drink the tap water in the room or do you suggest bottled water only? Thank you in advance as I don't want to be sick on my vacation. 3 weeks-can't wait!!!

 

Bottle water only.

 

I agree bottle water only and do not get the tap water in your mouth while in the shower and brush your teeth with bottled water !! All the bars and restaurants are fine never had a problem.

 

Last time we were there ( 21 days from now will be a year) We had a sealed fresh gallon of water left in our room every day. Tip the maid, she will make sure its always there.

 

You could drink the beer, it comes in a sealed container and and just happens to have water in it as it's main ingrediant :icon_cool:

Aside from that, stick to the bottled water

 

Whats wrong with the water? lol! This will be our first time so is there a lot of don't do there?

 

We left the maid a note and asked her to bring extra water each day and we left her a tip and each day we had TWO large bottles of water in our fridge.

 

Temptations Resort has it own water filtration system on property. All the ice is from there... They do have bottled water in your mini refrig. in room..just leave a note to refill each day..They also have water in gift shop. :aktion033:

 

Yeah.. as Tom said, with their own on site water filtration system there is absolutely nothing wrong with the water at Temptation. That being said, it may taste different than home because of the local minerals in the water. Depending on where you are from it might even taste better.

Don't buy water though. If you keep your water bottle, your waiter will fill it up at each meal for free for you from one of their water stations. That saves both money and the environment by reusing the bottles.

Outside of the hotel zone always only drink bottled water. Watch out for salads as the vegies may have been "washed" in suspect water. Always wipe the top of any beer bottle you drink from as the ice water it was cooling in may have not been filtered the best. Also beware of ice in your drinks. Again, that is outside of the hotel zone.

Personally I haven't had a problen in Old Cancun either but futher out some folks I know have had problems. For example the lunch stop out to the ruins. Think the salad got them.

The water is fine from the faucet...But they do leave large bottles of water in your room daily...
