This is a debate. Some will answer do Both (you guys are hardcore), but i think all day drinking sets you up nice for Party in the night. I think drinking fast in the night gets you drunk quicker and crash faster ? Whats your preference???
Moderate through the day then hard at night. Whoever can do it all day long and night my hat is off to them. Some days its fun to hammer down in the pool and take the night off. Either way the way I view I paid to be down there, so to sleep all day or all night is not an option.
It all depends on the person, I dont have to drink to have fun, but when I am on vacation I like to drink a little bit and hold my buzz during the day, slam back some water at 5 shower and nap till 7, have some dinner, bring the buzz back and party into the night. Zebra not so much....
To avoid missing any of the trip due to hangovers/ alcoholic oblivion, I find it's best to have a couple of cocktails in the morning, usually have a good drink of wine with lunch (followed by a beach bed nap!), then more wine with dinner, and slow down at night. Alternating alcohol with Sprite usually works for me. That way I (usually) make breakfast before 8am, and Blanco (the man who never gets hungover) doesn't get grumpy with me. Win win. :daisy:
Drink in the pool to get good and tipsy around 4:00 when the fun begins, nap before supper to recover, few drinks with supper and then go hard at Paty'o's.
if we drink at TTR like we do on the pontoon in the summer, we will be shot for the evenings,,,have not learned the "have a few drinks during the day" program,,,always 15-20
I typically don't drink, but who can resist a lil Bailey's with the morning cup of coffee and of course for breakfast desert you have to have a Mojito or two (mint helps the food digest). Of course I have to avoid dehydration during the morning hours so a few beers helps in that capacity and when a friend "buys" me a shot in the pool it would be rude to turn them down. I'm not real fond of the Coke in Mexico so I add a wee bit of Rum (just to improve the flavor) for lunch. After lunch, my wife usually insists I have a drink (just to relax), so I placate her by having a margarita or two (after all a happy wife is all a man needs). Around 2 or 3, I start feeling a bit dehydrated so I usually have another beer (just to stay hydrated) and since I'm usually coerced into one of the afternoon games, I'm usually forced into suffering through one of their concoctions. With all of the friends we make at TTR, there are usually a few that suggest another round or two of shots and of course I accept (gentleman that I am, I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings). No one can resist a Tequila Sunrise at sunset, so I usually indulge my wife by having one of those as we walk had in hand along the beach. A bottle of wine with dinner brings out the flavor of the food, so we usually add a bit of flavor. Again just for digestion, I'll drink a Mojito or two after dinner. As the night life starts to heat up at Patty-Os, I want to make sure that I'm wide awake so I have a Vodka and Red Bull (only for the caffeine). At this point we have usually made friends with another couple or two so we have to toast the new friendships with a round of shots and of course you can't have a shot without a beer chaser, so I am forced to drink another beer or two. Around midnight or so, I have my usual one drink a day, a Buttery Nipple or a Screaming Orgasm, et al. and just before bed my wife insists I have a hot toddy to help me sleep. Since I don't have a lot of experience with this drinking thing, I can't offer any real world experience, but my suggestion is to take it a bit slow like I do the first day or two and work your way into the drinking part of your vacation. :daveandmo:
It really depends on the crowd...I tend to let the vibe dictate how hard I party, both in the day and the night...I do however have to exclude the first day as I always seem to go too hard.:lotsofmichaelfs:
I am more of a nighttime drinker. But we stayed at GP last summer.... might be a lot different at Temptation lol
