Just needing some quick feed back. How strictly are they enforced, particularly where it says formal? I am your basic blue jeans kind of guy and was hoping a new pair of Levis with nice shirt and shoes might get me by.
My experience is .. dark colored jeans not ripped, collared shirt and closed shoes should be fine..if they are faded and look ratty they may stop you.. but.. best bet is dress pants and a collared shirt will be good for sure..
Where shoes are concerned - has anyone worn 'sneakers' (trainers for us Brits!) to speciality restaurants? My partner's formal shoes weigh a lot, and only get used for the restaurants. Would love to not have to pack them.
I personally have not, but I have seen people wearing sneakers in the restaurants.. I've also seen people wearing t shirts...
