The countdown is on and we are starting to pack! Just have a question about the dress code in the restaurants... The all say no shorts, no jeans... Does this mean the breakfast and lunch buffet I can't go in my board shorts? That seems a little harsh...
Dinner dress code is slacks? Do they follow these dress codes?
    Thanks for you help!

My husband wore his jeans to dinner in both the seafood restaurant and Italian place, was no big deal. I think they just don't want beach clothing, especially wet clothing - but slacks are not necessary. I think Michael even wore bermuda cargo shorts one night at the Italian restaurant, but he had a button up collared shirt on too.

If you go to the buffet or the Tex Mex shorts are fine. It's only the a la carte restraunts you need to put on the big boy pants!

Never had trouble with wearing my shorts to breakfast and lunch in Cabo last year, imagine Cancun will be the same.

Exactly, if your lady likes you in jeans, by all means, just bring some jeans to wear to the reservation restaurants, otherwise, just wear a shirt and no wet beach wear in all the other ones and you'll be fine. The only reason I would even put on a pair of jeans in Mexico is to go to the Italian restaurant at Temptation.

Long pants are required at reservation restaurants. On evening we did not have a reservation, but stopped by the Italian restaurant to see if they could fit us in. I was wearing khaki shorts and a button up shirt. They said we could be seated immediately at an outside table since I was wearing shorts or change and be seated inside. We chose to eat outside and it was very nice with the low light and breeze. On the other hand, shorts are good to go at the buffet and Margarita's.
