It looks like it has changed, recently. According to the website, the dress code for all three restaurants says: "no shorts, no t-shirts and no sandals" Can anyone confirm this?
Don't see that as a change from before.... I mean men were never supposed to enter that way, woman can get away with shorts and sandles. How do you see it as a change? Jamie
From my recollection, it used to state that jeans were not allowed, either. Although you would commonly see it, the dress code stated differently.
Why would any one want to wear jeans to an A'la carte restaurant, especially when 98% of females are all decked out.
its just what boys do, jeans and a T-shirt. Here is our theory.....When going out your woman takes her time to look great, to put on the perfect slathering of the right shades of makeup, to find that perfect set of clothing, stuff that makes her feel good, sexy and wanting to go out, to be with you, to show her "assets" to make you want it, crave it, work for it. She takes her time to make sure she smells right, that she is clean from head to toe, all hair is trimmed and ready for a viewing, her hair is in the right spots done the way she wants it to be done, so that all the cards fall in the right spots. This is just as much for her as it is for you, and the people around you, we call it the WOW factor, Guys love the wow factor, and when they see it, they are like bees to pollen. But there is a reverse side too, women love the WOW factor just as much as guys do. Its that one look when you can say, DAM thats hot, or wow she smells great. (lion loves smell more than anything) Why would YOU as a man not take at least 50% of the time your woman does to make sure your ready to go, just like her, clothing, hair, smell etc The point here is your both going together, your a couple. Dress with her, match some colors, have some fun with it. If shes in Jeans and a t-shirt, then thats your queue. If she is all dressed up you should be at least in a dress shirt. And besides you can spend the extra 50% of your time playing video games or doing crunches hehe. The choice is yours.....
I wore jeans last year, but with the jeans, a long sleve button down dress shirt, black socks and dress shoes. The jeans were dark and clean. It is an accepted look even in a business enviroment.
When my beautiful wife got her hair all perfect, make up all perfect is all decked out in her evening dress i just can't bring myself to throw on a pair of jeans, Must be getting old.
Times change, styles change........ A nice pair of well fitting stylish jeans is perfectly acceptable. Skip the t-shirt, though its perfectly acceptable at TTR. Once you have been you will come to the realization that no one really follows the dress code and mgmt doesn't really care. This is not a $400/ night 4* star all inclusive luxury resort.
I personally think my guy looks sexier in his stylish dress jeans than his dress pants. Paired with the appropriate shirt, he's good to go! Dress pants remind me of my dad going to work....just not my personal preference. I really think it varies from couple to couple .....dress nice, but comfortably in something that makes you feel good. If you feel good in it, your lady likes it (and it's allowed in the restaurant) that's really all that matters!
For PatyO's, I like to dress like I'm going to a club with my decked out wife. And like I want the bouncer to be happy to let me in. That outfit often includes properly fitting, dark, non-distressed jeans. Not that I'm saying that's how everybody should dress, style is personal and definitely changes with time. I just think guys should ask themselves before heading out for the night, after their wife/girlfriend went to all that trouble to look soooo good, "Is there anything more I could do to look like the stud this woman deserves?"
