Just checking with anyone who frequents TTR. Do they serve Tittos vodka? Reason We are asking its the only thing a few of the people we are coming with drink since Gluetin free. If anyone could help us figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Tito's Vodka comes from Austin, Texas. I do not recall even seeing Tito's at any of the liquor stores in Cancun. You can however, look at "Tittos" at the sexy pool while you drink the wonderful Skyy vodka the resort serves. Sorry, couldn't resist. The Skyy is good, not sure if it is Gluten free or not. You are allowed to bring a bottle with you in your checked baggage.
The Skyy from the USA or Canada is pretty decent. The one they sell in Mexico is not legit (I think they make it down there), safer buying Absolut or Finlandia down there. The Skyy they serve at TTR not only is Mexican made, is diluted with a lot of water; I can drink that stuff all day and just get half tipsy
If glueten will harm them , they should bring their own booze. In general ( not just TTR),, a lot of bottles get refilled with generic brands in resorts. I would not trust the label anywhere if it would harm me.
Plain Smirnoff which is available in most liquor stops in Cancun is corn-based and should be fine for most Celiacs or other gluten free folks....obviously each person's sensitivity is different...I don't think any of the potato based vodka's are widely available in Mexico...at least that I've seen anyway.
Just drink tequila. As long as it's 100% agave, you are good. Even Cuervo is GF. I found Milagro to be a really choice. You have to ask for it but it's usually there.
YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN AND THEY WILL KEEP IT AT ANY BAR FOR YOU HAVE DONE THIS MOST TRIPS AND YEY THEY WILL REMEMBER WHOS IT IS AND ONLY SERVE IT TO YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE FOR THE DAY OR NIGHT JUST PICK IT UPTO TAKE BACK TO YOUR ROOM OR THE NEXT BAR. IF YOU LEAVE IT IT WILL BE THERE FOR YOU THE NEXT DAY:mnm:
